The origin of Metal-Chrome's creation goes back to the end of the 80's. At this time, the evolution of the aeronautical manufacturing sector privileged the fact of "to piece together".

When Bruno REYNEAU, native to ROCHEFORT, and « older of Sogerma/Socea » seduce and convince the local authorities with his project: To create a firm who will be specialized in the surface treatment and painting application on the plane's big parts.

The status has been applied in February 1992 and the activity began in July 1993. At the beginning, Metal-Chrome set up a new building of 3000m² and employed only 6 peoples for a turnover of 50 000 Euros. Bruno REYNEAU implements a politic of quality that will bear fruit. Metal-Chrome goes up through the ranks and has today more than 30 aeronautical qualifications that opened him up all the world market.

Today, the building has a surface area of 4500m² thanks to an extension in 2001.The factory now employs 74 peoples and have a turnover of 5.4 millions Euros (2007). And so, with more than 1 million of parts treated by years, Metal-Chrome became one of the three national leaders in this both fields: the surface treatment anti-corrosion, carried out thanks to an electro-chemical process of anodizing and painting without solvent application. These technologies are adapted for the aeronautical big parts and protect the environment. Today certified ISO 9001 version 2000 and EN9100 version 2003, Metal-Chrome target the obtaining of the ISO 14001. Effectively, thanks to a new project of extension (in 2009) which will contain a third painting cabin, a loading/offloading platform for airplane's fuselage panel, Metal-Chrome will implement a station of sewage's treatment that will contain an evaporator in order to finalise a "zero waste" on site.
